For 28 years, U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe has faithfully and steadfastly served the citizens of Oklahoma in his capacity as a United States Senator. Senator Inhofe has occupied vital roles in his tenure — roles that have, at times, charged him with acting in the best interest of all Americans in protecting the integrity of America’s armed forces. Senator Inhofe has announced that he will begin a well-deserved retirement at the end of the 117th United States Congress, leaving very big shoes to fill.

Oklahomans are now faced with the question of who is best equipped, and best suited to carry on Senator Inhofe’s work. For us, the answer is clear: U.S. Rep. Markwayne Mullin. Mullin has established himself as a reliable, conservative stand-out amongst Oklahoma’s Congressional delegation.

Serving as the U.S. Representative for Oklahoma’s Second Congressional District since his election in 2012, Mullin has been a consistently conservative voice for his constituents. He has lent his voice and his vote to pro-business policies and opposed federal overreach at every opportunity. Holding fast to traditional family values, Mullin openly condemned a Supreme Court ruling which struck down a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage in Oklahoma.

In our opinion, his Congressional record alone is enough to warrant our support. But, with Mullin, there’s more to his service than just showing up to cast a vote. Mullin has demonstrated a willingness to place himself in harm’s way when such strength of character is called for.

During the Jan. 6, 2021, attack upon the United States Capitol, Mullin helped Capitol police barricade House chamber doors to protect his colleagues from rioters. Mullin was also one of few Congressmen who tried to rescue American citizens left behind during the August 2021 U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

For these reasons and many more, we believe Markwayne Mullin is not only the right choice, but the only real choice to succeed Senator Inhofe.

We urge voters to cast their ballots for Markwayne Mullin in the June 28, 2022, Republican Primary election, and again on Nov. 8.
