Aflac reports third-quarter profit

COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) – Aflac Inc. (AFL) recently reported a third-quarter profit of $777 million. The Columbus, Ga. based company said it had a profit of $1.04 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $1.16 per share. The results beat Wall Street expectations.
