Online training for jail workers OK'd

LAWTON – Acting as the Comanche County Facilities Authority, the Comanche County Board of Commissioners signed off Tuesday on a plan to provide online training for Comanche County Detention Center employees.

LAWTON – The inmate population at the Comanche County Detention Center has begun increasing again, and that has Central District County Commissioner Johnny Owens concerned. “I don’t know what to do about it,” he said Monday.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The state Department of Corrections reported transporting 142 healthy inmates from the Comanche County Detention Center (CCDC) to state prisons on Wednesday and Thursday. The transfers included 141 men and one woman, according to Justin Wolf, the DOC’s director of communications.

OKLAHOMA CITY (20 May 2020) – The Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) transferred “70+” inmates from the Comanche County Detention Center (CCDC) to a state prison Wednesday, Comanche County Commissioner Johnny Owens reported.
