Flower Mound childhood center bond passes

LAWTON – Patrons of the Flower Mound Public School district have approved a $2 million bond issue to build an early childhood center, which will include a safe room for students to take shelter in severe weather. The proposal passed on a 60-42 vote Tuesday, with 60.

Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of Education visits Flower Mound School District

LAWTON – U.S. Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education Frank Brogan recently visited the Flower Mound School District. Flower Mound was one of about a dozen Oklahoma schools selected for last week’s tour. Brogan also visited schools in Blanchard and Pauls Valley on Jan. 21.
