LAWTON — Lawton’s Parks and Recreation Department will host its Halloween Spooktacular event from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29 at Owens Recreation Center, 1405 SW 11th St. The event is free and open to the public.

Lawton’s trick-or-treating hours for Halloween will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31. The city is reminding people about tips for fun and safe trick-or-treating, along with recommended health and safety guidelines in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our streets will soon be abuzz with werewolves and witches, doctors and superheroes of treats. It is that time of year when we allow our kids some free expression and lug them around from house-to-house, from business-to-business in search of candy, treats and trinkets.
