Feds recover $2.4B for employee benefit plans

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Enforcement actions by the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) recovered more than $2.4 billion in direct payments to plans, participants and beneficiaries in Fiscal Year 2021, the DOL announced on Nov.23.

Claims for jobless benefits declining

OKLAHOMA CITY – First-time jobless claims are still declining but continuing claims have been rising, according to the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC), which reports having paid more than $5 billion in unemployment benefits since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020.
