Mental health clinic for veterans planned for Lawton this fall

LAWTON – Cohen Veterans Network (CVN) announced plans Tuesday to open a clinic in Lawton later this fall. More than 6,000 post-9/11 veterans, their families, as well as more than 12,000 family members of active-duty service men and women in the area, will be eligible for care at the Steven A.
According to the American Psychological Society, as many as four in 10 survivors can experience a mental or behavioral disorder after a disaster, with children, women and the poor disproportionately affected.
