OKLAHOMA CITY – A contract to replace a rural bridge in northeastern Comanche County, and two highway repaving projects in southwest Oklahoma, were approved Monday by the state Transportation Commission.

Cobb Creek bridge to be replaced

This bridge spanning Cobb Creek on north/south Caddo County Road 2560, nearly two miles south of the state Highway 146 junction near Fort Cobb, will be replaced under a $673,241 contract awarded earlier this month to K&R Builders of Wheatland by the state Transportation Commission.

LAWTON – A project to replace a narrow, aged bridge in rural Comanche County is underway. The bridge is on Coombs Road (east/west Comanche County Road 169) and crosses Cache Creek 1.2 miles east of Interstate 44 near Lawton, in the district of County Commissioner Gail Turner.
