Speed limit to increase on H.E. Bailey turnpike

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority voted to raise the speed limit on a 59-mile section of the H.E. Bailey turnpike from 75 miles per hour to 80, but when it goes into effect is unclear.

Legislature meets midway point

OKLAHOMA CITY — In Latin, the term sine die means, literally, “without a day.” In the legal world, sine die translates to “indefinitely.” For the Oklahoma Legislature, sine die means: 5 p.m. on Friday, May 26. Until then, however, state lawmakers have their work cut out for them.
