In 2006 it was purchased by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and converted into a “community security” facility. The facility sits on 20 acres and has a capacity for 228 inmates.

OKLAHOMA CITY – About 25 years ago, the Oklahoma Legislature decided to get tough on crime.
Longer sentences and ‘three strikes and you’re out’ laws were passed. Other laws placed tighter sentencing restrictions on judges and juries.
