Booker wins second term; Harris, Malone advance to runoff

LAWTON — Lawton Mayor Stan Booker won a three-way race for mayor Tuesday night, defeating challengers Sherene Williams and Palmer Moore Jr. Booker cruised to victory with 2,660 votes, or 63.08% of the total, according to unofficial election results. Williams came in second with 1,320 votes, or 31.

Making the tough decisions

Nobody wants to be doing what we are doing now. Nobody. We find ourselves in a place where decisions are between livelihoods and lives. Elected officials find themselves making decisions that they never imagined in order to preserve the lives of their neighbors, friends and family.
