DOL, DOJ repeat pledge to protect veterans' employment rights

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Labor and U.S Department of Justice have reaffirmed their commitment to administer and enforce protections afforded to military service members and veterans by the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994.

State agencies as gatekeepers to employment

Roughly one-third of the professions in the State of Oklahoma require a license or certification governed by an agency. With so many professions in Oklahoma requiring licenses, the agencies that govern licensures carry more weight than most people realize when it comes to a state’s economy.
