OKLAHOMA CITY – A section of US-70 in Tillman County will be resurfaced this year. The highway will be repaved with asphalt from its junction with US-183 near Davidson eastward for 18.2 miles toward Grandfield, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation announced. That stretch of US-70 carries an average of 500 to 600 vehicles daily, research indicates. The state Transportation Commission awarded a $4,625,438 contract on the project to Cornell Construction Co. of Clinton. The work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.
