Apache Casino to hold Heroes of America Fireworks Show

LAWTON – Heroes of America Fireworks Show will light up the night sky at Apache Casino Hotel on Saturday, July 4, 2020.

“We want to celebrate the birth of our great nation and recognize the essential Heroes of America that are so vital to our country,” said Lee Bayless, Event Center Manager. “With our nation facing so many difficulties this year, we wanted to offer everybody a chance to just enjoy the fireworks and unwind from all of the current pressures of the world.”

Due to COVID-19 and CDC social distancing guidelines, guests are requested to bring their own blankets and chairs to set up their own “Personal Party Space” near their parked vehicle and to refrain from gathering in groups of more than 10 people.

The U.S. Air Force 138th Fighter Wing is sending four F-16s to do a military flyover at 8:20 p.m. with a spectacular firework show scheduled to begin at around 9:30 p.m.

The event is free to attend. There will be free parking in the event field behind the Apache C-Store on Gore Blvd. starting at 5 p.m. No outside alcohol will be allowed. Weapons, personal fireworks, open flames and pets are also not allowed anywhere on the premises.

Guests are welcome to pack a picnic or visit the food trucks that will be on-site. Beverage tents will have bottled water for $1, bottles of Pepsi products and Gatorade for $2 and cans of Miller Lite and Modelo beer for $4. Also, there will be a limited number of commemorative t-shirts and glow necklaces/ bracelets for sale. Cash sales only. ATMs will be available.

“Last year, this event drew over 5,000 people to the event field,” recounts Bayless. “We are working closely with all local branches of government and public safety in order to make sure we have

another outstanding event for southwest Oklahoma. Our thanks go out to the Fort Sill Apache Tribe and the team members of Apache Casino Hotel for hosting this great celebration on July 4th.”

Heroes of America Fireworks Show will be held in the event field just east of Apache Casino Hotel located at 2327 E. Gore Blvd in Law- ton, on Saturday, July 4th. 5 p.m.-11 p.m. In case of rain delay, the event will be held July 5 or July 6.
