Bond issues, school board races appear on ballot

Voters across the state will head to the polls Tuesday to decide the fate of school bond issues, choose representatives on local school boards and elect city council members.

Here’s a roundup of the issues and races on the ballot in southwest Oklahoma:

School board races

Municipal propositions

Town of East Duke

East Duke voters will decide whether to extend the town’s 1.5% sales tax, which generates revenue for Duke Public Schools, for another five years. The tax is currently scheduled to sunset in June of this year, but it would sunset in June 2031 instead if voters approve the extension.
