OKLAHOMA CITY – Four California residents named in federal drug charges after Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers found 55,600 fentanyl- laced pills in a vehicle during a traffic stop on Interstate 40 have all pleaded guilty.
Ambrocio Arroyo, 30; Destiny Ruby Lopez, 20; Daniel Ochoa, 32; and Kevin Earl Tooks, 38, were in two vehicles that troopers stopped for speeding Arroyo was sentenced Feb. 29 to 200 months in federal prison for possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute, Western District U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester announced. OHP troopers found approximately 15 pounds of fentanyl-laced pills hidden inside a rear door panel of the car Arroyo was driving.
The other three defendants had already pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy and were previously sentenced: Lopez to 36 months, Tooks to 188 months, and Ochoa, driver of the other vehicle, 218 months in federal prison.
