From staff reports “There is su ch an emotional side to this issue because when you are dealing with cat tle that have either perished, or you have to take care of an unrecoverable animal, that ca n be a really diff icult and a very emotional situation,” Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association Executive Vice President Michael Kelsey said. “Our hearts and prayers go out to all that are having to deal with that.”

Oklahomans have generously donated hay and other sources to ranchers in need, K elsey added.

“From the OCA side, we are also working for disaster declarations, as well as offsetting some of the r egulations regarding hay hauling,” Kelsey added.
