Comanche County Republicans will hold their regular monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 10, at the Oklahoma Blood Institute, 211 SW A Ave., Lawton.
Topping the agenda will be the annual Spring Barbeque scheduled for Saturday, April 23 at Comanche County Fairgrounds, 920 SW Sheridan Road.
The BBQ features a guest speaker, live auction and camaraderie. Chicken, pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, dessert and drinks are on the menu.
When asked who would be speaking at the BBQ, CCRP Chair Daremy Gleaves said, “We usually have local leaders give reports.
“Typically, our events committee chair Jonathan Gleaves, and communication committee chair Tracey Wicker; Great Plains Republican Women chair Betty Beale; Comanche County Ok2A coordinator John Keck, and those local elected officials who are available give reports on what is going on in the county. Periodically we also have reps from state and national offices as well.”
Tickets for the BBQ will be available at the March meeting or may be purchased at www.eventbrite.com/e/comanche-county-republican-party-annual-barbeque-tickets-257185858827.
