OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City man implicated in multiple crimes in the past four years was indicted by the state’s Multi-County Grand Jury earlier this month on multiple felony counts related to an armed robbery of a marijuana grow operation in Elmore City last summer.
Geane JW Johnson, Jr., 26, was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery in the first degree, robbery in the first degree, burglary in the first degree, and assault while masked or in disguise for his role in the June 4, 2024, incident at Lxchen LLC, a medical marijuana grow operation in Garvin County.
The indictment alleges Johnson and unidentified other individuals forcibly entered a house on the property while wearing masks and carrying firearms. The perpetrators allegedly assaulted several occupants, cut wires to the camera system and stole items that included identification documents, a 9mm Glock handgun, cash, and processed marijuana. Johnson and his co-conspirators also allegedly damaged vehicles on the property by slashing tires and stole two vehicles to flee the scene.
The case was filed in the Oklahoma Supreme Court. The Oklahoma State Courts Network provided no further details about the case.
Attorney General Gentner Drummond said the Garvin County Sheriff's Office partnered with the A.G.’s Organized Crime Task Force on this investigation.
Johnson was convicted in Sedgwick County, Kansas, in 2017, for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
He pleaded guilty in Jefferson County in 2022 to once again being in possession of a firearm after a previous felony conviction. He was given a seven-year suspended sentence but was fined $1,000, charged $1,973 for the 33 days he spent in the county jail, billed $960 for a district attorneys’ fee, and was ordered to perform 40 hours of community service.
Also in 2022, Johnson was charged in Oklahoma County with yet again being a felon in possession of a firearm, feloniously pointing a firearm, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The charges were dismissed two months later at the request of the state.
In Cleveland County, Johnson pleaded guilty in 2023 to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, second-degree burglary, attempting to elude a police officer, obstructing an officer in performance of his/her duties, and driving while his license was suspended or revoked.
He was given two five-year prison sentences with all but 180 days to be served in the Cleveland County Detention Center, and three sentences of 180 days in the CCDC; all five of the 180-day jail sentences were to be served concurrently.
In March 2024 Johnson was named in a misdemeanor marijuana charge filed in Lincoln County. That case is still active, court records indicate.
And in March of this year, Johnson pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and was given a five-year sentence in conjunction with his Jefferson County case.
Meanwhile, four men pleaded guilty in Oklahoma City’s federal district court to the armed robbery of a marijuana stash house in OKC early last year.
Arrests of the suspects – William Lewis Daniels, 26, Jordon Isaiah Watson, 26, and Keldon Sherrod Williams, 27, all from Texas, and Brandon Michael Norman, 26, of Florida – resulted in the seizure of 690 pounds of marijuana, $40,710 in cash, and one firearm.
Daniels and Watson were sentenced to eight years in federal prison; Williams, five years; and Norman, four years.
