City to repair water main Saturday

LAWTON – Lawton’s water distribution division will make repairs to a water main at NW 14th Street and NW Logan Avenue beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, the city said in a news release.

Temporary repairs were made to the water main Feb. 13 to allow the division to prepare a crew and give more notice to area residents.

Around 200 residents in the area will be without water Saturday. Repairs are scheduled to take six to eight hours, weather permitting.

The division will install a valve at the site of the repair, which will allow for fewer residents to be affected if there are future water main break in the area, according to the news release.
