WALTERS – The Cotton County Board of Commissioners approved a request Monday to close the road at the intersection of County Roads 2690 and 1940 temporarily.
The commission voted 3-0 to close the road so the pipeline construction company Strike USA can excavate and repair the pipeline there, said Margaret Davis, executive assistant to the commission. The closure will begin Monday, April 19, and last for two weeks.
The commission also approved a permit for Phillips 66 Pipeline Co., which owns the pipeline in question, to make the repairs.
In other business, the commission delayed action on a proposed contract with Bruckner Truck Sales to buy a 2022 Mack truck. The postponement will give Bruckner time to supply the commission with additional paperwork related to the purchase.
