Rainfall totals averaged 1.45 inches across Oklahoma for the week of May 24-30, with the southeast district recording the highest total at 2.81 inches. 

Drought conditions were rated 36% abnormally dry to exceptional drought, down four points from the previous week, according to the May 25 U.S. Drought Monitor Report. Additionally, 8% of the state was in the moderate drought to exceptional drought category, down two points from the previous week. 

Statewide temperatures averaged in the high 60s. Topsoil moisture conditions were rated mostly adequate to surplus, and subsoil moisture conditions were treated mostly adequate to short. 

Here's a snapshot of how crops fared for the week: 

Small grains: Winter wheat harvest reached 1% up one point from the previous year but down two points from normal. 

Canola coloring reached 55%, down three points from the previous year and 21 points from normal. 

Rye harvest reached 6%, up two points from the previous year and two points from normal. 

Oats jointing reached 85%, up one point from the previous year and one point from normal. Oats headed reached 60%, up 11 points from the previous year and one point from normal. 

Row crop: Corn planted reached 70%, down 12 points from the previous year and 14 points from normal. Corn emerged reached 60%, down four points from the previous year and 12 points from normal. 

Sorghum planted reached 30% down one point from the previous year and seven points from normal. 

Soybean planted reached 27%, up 17 points from the previous year and 18 points from normal. 

Peanuts planted reached 41%, up 17 points from the previous year but down 18 points from normal. 

Cotton planted reached 39%, up 25 points from the previous year and two points from normal. 

Hay: The first cutting of Alfalfa reached 30%, down 15 points from the previous year and 30 points from normal. the first cutting of other hay reached 40%, down four points from the previous year but unchanged from normal. 

Pasture and livestock: Pasture and range condition was rated at 89% good to fair. Livestock condition was rated at 90% good to fair.
