CHICKASHA – Five lots owned by the city were sold recently to a developer who announced plans to build houses on the property.
Builders Investment Group bought lots at 810 Illinois, 617 N. 10th Street, 1001 Michigan, 1219 S. First Street, and 1315 Shepherd. The price was $4,000 per lot, a total of $20,000.
Community Development Director Rachel Bernish said the developer’s intent is to construct single-family houses on each of the lots.
Doug Wagner, who lives near Edmond in the Deer Creek school district, told the City Council that he has built four houses in Chickasha and has “another eight under construction.”
