Duncan’s assistant fire chief retires after 35 years of service

DUNCAN –The Duncan Fire Department and city officials congratulated Assistant Fire Chief Kevin Hammack on his retirement from Station 1 “C” Shift at a farewell event, which took place May 21 at Central Fire Station, officials said in a news release.

With Hammack’s family, friends and fellow firefighters gathered to celebrate, Duncan Fire Chief Dayton Burnside said, “It was an honor and a privilege to serve alongside Hammack.”

Hammack, who had Badge 127, began his service with the Duncan Fire Department on April 15, 1990.

City Manager Chris Deal made a presentation to Hammack, in which the city manager thanked Hammack for the heartfelt services he provided to the community and wished him and his family much success in his future endeavors, according to the news release.
