OKLAHOMA CITY – Nominations to state boards focused on water, the environment and air quality won unanimous approval Thursday in a meeting of the Okl ahoma Senate Energy Committee.
Mark A. Helm of Edmond was nominated to serve a second seven- year term to the Oklahoma Mining Commission. The vote was 6-0 for a term ending in 2032.
Kim L. Peterson, the mayor of Guymon, received 6-0 support to be named for a five-year term to the Environmental Quality Board. His term will end Jan. 31, 2030. Peterson replaces John Easton to the board.
Michael Thayer of Sand Springs received an 8-0 committee vote to be named to the Air Quality A dvisory Council for a seven-year term ending in 2032. It will be his second term on the council.
The Committee also voted 8-0 in support of the nomination of Co lby W. Davis of Tahlequah to the Arkansas- Oklahoma Arkansas River Compact Commission. He will serve an unexpired term ending Jan. 1, 2026, succeeding Robert D. Singletary.
