Fort Sill Tennis Blitz Camp

Body

Cameron University tennis coach Josh Cobble, along with two student athletes, volunteer their time to teach a group of youngsters how to play tennis during a free Tennis Blitz Camp at Fort Sill that began June 10 and continues through the first week of July. The Butner Tennis Courts at the Army post were renovated recently by the Department of Public Works, which installed new nets, created a new tennis-blue court, and built a bounce board so tennis players can practice solo. Fort Sill Garrison leadership, along with Family, Morale, Welfare & Recreation, decided to fix the run-down courts as a way to offer Fort Sill Soldiers, Marines, family members and the community another way to stay active. The Blitz Camp provides an opportunity to introduce children to the sport.
