A mix-up in the type of fuel put in the tanks of a local convenience store could cost the store’s owner a massive amount of repair bills for scores of customers’ damaged cars.

In a news release, the EZ GO convenience store company owner announced that due to a driver error, the company had “a cross dump of diesel and premium gas at the company’s #27 store on Cache Road” in Lawton.

Apparently, on Saturday, August 22, the driver delivering fuel to the 3164 N.W. Cache Road station mixed up which fuel he was pumping into the wrong storage tanks.

The company is offering to repair any vehicle that was damaged as a result of the fuel mix-up. Customers who believe their vehicle has been damaged by the fuel foul up are urged to call 580-595-8375 to have their vehicles checked out and repaired.

A company spokesman could not be reached for comment.
