Jim Crosby, whose career in municipal government has spanned six decades in five cities, receives the oath of office as Chickasha City Manager from City Attorney Amanda Mullins on Nov. 18. Crosby is Chickasha’s eighth city manager in nine years; he succeeds Keith Johnson, who is moving back to Washington state for personal and professional reasons after two years. Crosby has been involved in municipal government for 60 years, 39 of those as a city manager in Yukon, Norman and Piedmont. He also worked for Oklahoma City as its recreation superintendent and later as director of general services. Most recently Crosby was director of Chickasha’s Public Works Department.
