LATS to stop enforcing mask mandate on routes

LAWTON – In keeping with the new update from the federal Transportation Security Administration, Lawton Area Transit System will no longer enforce the national masks mandate on public transportation.

The TSA announced recently that it would no longer enforce orders requiring masks on public transportation after a federal judge struck down the mandate. However, the TSA and the Centers for Disease Control are still recommending the use of masks.
