LAWTON – The Lawton Public Library is celebrating Library Card Sign-Up Month.
During the month of September, the American Library Association and libraries unite in a national effort to ensure every child signs up for their own library card, according to a news release from the library. Stop by the library to get your “I love my library” car decal while supplies last.

There’s tons of fun at the library for adults, too. Join staff for the library’s first Crochet Along session and learn how to crochet a potato. Participants will follow along as a Creativebug instructor talks through each step in an instructional video.
Participants should bring their H8/5.0mm crochet hook and a tapestry needle. All other supplies will be provided.
All skill levels are welcome. This class is for ages 16-plus, and registration is appreciated.
Be sure to stop by the library to pick up a newsletter, or follow the library on social media for more information about these events and many more happening in September.
