In a joint news conference Wednesday at the State Capitol, the Oklahoma Legislature announced its redistricting plan. The announcement was made by Sen. Lonnie Paxton, R-Tuttle, left, chair of the Senate Select Committee on Redistricting, and Rep. Ryan Martinez, R-Edmond, right, chair of the House Redistricting Committee. By law, the Legislature must redraw legislative and congressional district boundaries every 10 years immediately after the federal decennial Census, to reflect changes in population.
