Eddie Hamra says he never learned how to deal with a pandemic like the coronavirus in “Suit School.”

As a result, he’s temporarily closing his well-known Lawton clothing stores, Edward’s and the Wooden Nickel until further notice.

“Our customers’ and associates’ safety is our number one priority,” the haberdasher said in announcing the closure. “I apologize for this disruption, but for obvious reasons, I feel it is the right thing to do. We’re all in this together,” he said.

Hamra noted he only lives “16 minutes” from the store and he plans to make himself available every day to his customers’ needs.

“If you have any needs, alteration pick ups, etc., I will be here to assist you,” he said. “In addition, I am available for individual appointments at the store or your home office and am happy to work with you via Face Time or send photos via text messaging.

Hamra said he is available by calling his cell phone at 580-713-9944 or via his email, info@edwardslawton.com.
