MIO Coalition to host MIO Market at Scissortail Park

From staff reports OKLAHOMA CITY – The Made in Oklahoma Coalition invites everyone to join them in celebrating local products by attending the inaugural MIO Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 9 at Scissortail Park.

The event is free to attend and showcases more than 40 Oklahoma vendors who will be sampling and selling their made in Oklahoma products. There will also be live music by the Red Dirt Rangers, yard games and local food trucks. The MIO Coalition will host giveaways of MIO products and provide gifts to the first 500 attendees.

Promoting Oklahoma-made food and beverage products for over 20 years, MIO boasts more than 100 local food and beverage companies as members. The coalition’s mission is to build brand awareness and consumer loyalty for local products.

“When you make the choice to spend your dollars on a locally made product, you are not only choosing to support your neighbor, but your dollar has a ripple effect that goes far beyond what you might think,” said Emily Shuping, executive director of the Made in Oklahoma Coalition. “Our goal is to make it easy for Oklahomans to support local companies wherever they shop, eat and play.”
