Congressman Markwayne Mullin stopped for gas at the Lawton Ez-Go on Gore Friday after a visit to Fort Sill. Mullin was headed to a campaign event in Lawton when a chance encounter with local dentist, Scott Sheppard, led to a brief discussion about Mullin’s campaign to fill retiring Sen. Jim Inhofe’s U.S. Senate seat.
“I was excited to see him campaigning in our part of the state,” Sheppard said. “I wished him luck and asked him about his plans campaigning for senate.” Sheppard said Mullin was excited to be on the campaign trail and said he enjoyed visiting Lawton-Fort Sill.
