Nearly 20 earthquakes rattle Oklahoma in 3 days, geologists say

Recently several earthquakes have been recorded throughout Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma State Geological Society reported a quake in Woodward County that measured 1.1 magnitude. Other tremors were recorded in Payne, Major, Logan and Woodward counties ranging in strength from 0.9 to 1.7 magnitude.

The strongest measured 2.5 in Pittsburg County on Monday, March 23 and 2.6 in Dewey County, according to the Oklahoma Geological Society.

Their strength ranged from 0.9 in Payne County which includes Stillwater to the 2.6 in Dewey County which includes Taloga. In most cases, the tremors were so weak that most Oklahomans did not feel them.
