CHEYENNE – U.S. Rep. Frank Lucas was recently honored as a Guardian of Small Business by the National Federation of Independent Businesses.

The award is reserved for policymakers who consistently vote with small business owners on their key issues.

“I’m honored to receive the Guardian of Small Business Award from NFIB,” Lucas said in a press release. “Small family-owned businesses are the engine to many local economies throughout Oklahoma, and in the wake of COVID-19, it’s critically important that we support our local business owners to keep our communities thriving.”

Kevin Kuhlman, vice president of federal government relations for NFIB, said, “The NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award is awarded to lawmakers who small businesses can truly count on. These members of the U.S. House of Representatives are dedicated supporters of the key issues that our members are concerned about and have proven themselves to be real champions for small business.”
