Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas has created a new award to honor the state’s exceptional teachers.
Ten winners will receive $5,000 each, and an additional $2,000 will be awarded to their schools, the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board said on its website.
People who know a teacher who should be recognized may visit OERB.com/topten and make their nominations. The deadline is March 11.
“One of our core missions is education,” said OERB Executive Director Mindy Stitt. “2022 has been another challenging year for teachers and their students. We want to give special thanks to those who have gone above and beyond”
The awards will be made, in person, later this year at either a Tulsa Drillers or an Oklahoma City Dodgers baseball game.
