Open Government workshop slated for May 24

State Auditor & Inspector Cindy Byrd and municipal attorney Amanda Mullins will discuss Oklahoma’s Open Meetings and Open Records acts at Southwest Ledger’s 2nd annual Open Government workshop, beginning at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 24 at the Elgin’s community center, 801 First Street. 
Sponsored by Garver, Ares State Armory, Johnson’s Plumbing and Hilliary Media Group, the Open Government seminar provides in-depth information on the legalities and practices of the state’s laws at no cost. This event is beneficial to state and municipal officials, members of the press, as well as concerned citizens. 
Lunch is also provided at no charge.
