LAWTON — Home crafters might want to check out upcoming classes at the Owens Multipurpose Center, 1405 SW 11th St. in Lawton.
Learn Your Cricut classes, which will help Cricut beginners get started with basic techniques, will run from noon to 2 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday in November, starting Nov. 1. Participants will need to bring their own laptop and Cricut to class.
The class runs for four weeks, so participants should register early.
Cricut is an American brand of cutting plotters, or computer-controlled cutting machines, used to cutting paper, felt, fabric and other materials.
Another series of classes is designed for people who have seen the crafts displayed on Tik Tok and Facebook and wondered how they were made. A Tik Tok craft class will run every Tuesday from 11 a.m. until noon starting Nov. 2. Participants will learn a new craft and easy craft techniques.
People who are interested in joining the Tik Tok class should call the Owens Center to find out what materials are needed. Some basic supplies will be provided.
