  • This plaque is displayed outside the Lawton City Council Chambers, which will be dedicated as “Wayne Gilley Auditorium” during the City Council meeting at 2 p.m. May 14. Gilley (1915-1990) served as Mayor of Lawton for 24 years – 1961-72 and 1975-89 – making him the longest-serving mayor in the city’s history.
