Report: OKC ranks seventh in largest increase in tech jobs

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. – Oklahoma City ranked seventh nationally in the largest month-over-month increase in technology job listings, the nonprofit technology association CompTia said Friday in a news release.

Employers throughout the United States are still in hiring mode for tech workers, according to the CompTia Tech Jobs Report.

Postings for tech-related jobs surpassed 443,000 in April and totaled 1.6 million for the year to data, an increase of 40% over the same period in 2021.

CompTia’s analysis of Friday’s #JobsReport from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that tech companies added 20,700 workers in April and 75,200 through the first four months of the year.
