OKLAHOMA CITY – Eight southwest Oklahoma House of Representatives members filed a total of 220 bills by the Jan. 18 deadline, and, of those, the majority have seen recent action during the Second Session of the 59th Legislature.
In total, Oklahoma’s 101 House members filed 1,210 bills, 12 House joint resolutions and one House concurrent resolution, according to a legislative press release.
Reps. Brad Boles (R-Marlow), Trey Caldwell (R-Lawton), Toni Hasenbeck (R-Elgin), Gerrid Kendrix (R-Altus), Dick Lowe (R-Amber), Marcus McEntire (R-Duncan), Daniel Pae (Lawton) and Rande Worthen (R-Lawton) addressed numerous issues in their proposals, including artificial intelligence, water rights, modifying the School Resource Officer Program, tattoo and body piercing license requirements, birthing centers, nuclear energy, temporary restraining orders, rural hospitals, laser hair removal, developing school curriculum on Native American history and culture and much more.
