A Frederick lawmaker, the late Anthony M. "Tony" Massad, would be honored with a section of highway named after him through SB 1585 which was co-authored by Rep. Caldwell and Sen. Brent Howard (R-Altus). The memorial highway would include the section of U.S. Highway 183 beginning at the intersection of E1820 Road extending north through Frederick to the intersection of Highview Avenue in Tillman County and would be named the “Senator Anthony M. Massad Memorial Highway.”
The measure passed the Senate Aeronautics and Transportation Committee earlier this month.
Caldwell represents District 63, which includes Comanche, Cotton, Kiowa and Tillman counties. He has authored or co-sponsored 17 bills in the current legislative
