Desmond Demetrius Antwine, 44, was indicted in United States Federal Court in June. He admitted to having a 9mm pistol at Will Rogers World Airport on Jan. 11 and knew he had been convicted of a felony. Antwine faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of $250,000. Sentencing is set for Jan. 2020. In a second case Thomas Lu Nguyen, 35, of Los Angeles, was charged after Transportation Security Administration screeners at Will Rogers World Airport detected a loaded 9mm semi-automatic pistol in his backpack. If convicted, Nguyen faces a maximum penalty on each count of 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and fine of up to $250,000.
