WASHINGTON, D.C. - The USDA recently launched Lender Lens on their Rural Data Gateway.

Lender Lens is a series of data visualizations that enhance transparency and visibility into the USDA’s Guaranteed Loan portfolio. Announced Jan. 19, Lender Lens is tailored toward lenders, USDA staff, and other parties interested in viewing publicly available data.

“The Lender Lens will highlight where USDA has expanded access to capital for businesses and rural communities who need it most and demonstrate how Rural Development funds are being used across rural America,” said USDA Deputy Secretary Stephen Vaden. “It will help rural stakeholders see where investments are being made to expand or improve access to health care, save and create jobs, and provide safe drinking water in their communities.” According to the USDA, the Rural Data Gateway supports USDA’s mission to expand public access to federal government data as required by the Open, Public, Electronic, and Necessary Government Data Act of 2018.
