Federal well-plugging program now underway in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY — After an interlude of about three months, the state Corporation Commission has begun plugging abandoned oil and gas wells throughout the state using federal funds issued by the Biden administration.

CROP REPORT: Rainfall improves crops, pastures

Recent rainfall has improved soil moisture conditions in Oklahoma, which has allowed most crops and pastures to improve.  Rainfall totals in Oklahoma averaged 0.80 of an inch for the week of May 22-28, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
