LAWTON — I can’t claim to be an expert on Philly cheese-steak sandwiches since I have never been to Philadelphia. But I can tell you if you’re looking for a good meal, whether it’s a cheesesteak sandwich or something heartier, the PhillyHoma restaurant in Lawton is worth checking out.

Three states file measures to limit length of trains

OKLAHOMA CITY — Kansas, Iowa and Washington state are attempting to impose limits on the length of cargo trains that repeatedly block grade crossings. In Kansas, Senate Bill 271 would limit trains to a maximum length of 8,500 feet, or approximately 1.6 miles, on any main line or branch line.

Five performers slated for Chickasha air show

CHICKASHA – The Chickasha Municipal Airport Authority voted to approve contracts with several performers for the annual Wings & Wheels event June 3 and to improve the fuel system at the airport. The CMAA authorized expenditure of up to $50,000 to upgrade or replace the airport’s fuel pumps.

Widow sues McCurtain County for $2M

MUSKOGEE — The widow of a Tulsa man who died after an encounter with law enforcement officials in McCurtain County earlier this year has sued the county commissioners, the sheriff and three deputies, and a state game warden.
