Lawton police chief named president of statewide association

  LAWTON – Lawton Police Chief James Smith is the new president of the Oklahoma Association of Chiefs of Police. Smith was named president on July 7 at the OACP’s annual conference in Durant, according to a news release from City Manager Michael Cleghorn’s office.

Saddle & Sirloin holds "Take Stock In Kids" Fundraiser

LAWTON – The Comanche County Saddle & Sirloin Club raised more than $77,000 with its Take Stock in Kids live auction which benefits youngsters who raise and show animals at the spring Livestock Show and Premium Sale.

McCurtain County commissioners appear to misrepresent proceedings in Hochatown incorporation lawsuit
