From staff reports Just as crude oil prices in the U.S. dropped below $60 a barrel on Friday, the number of oil and gas rigs in the nation also dropped, according to the Oct. 10 rig count from Baker Hughes Co.The release showed a decline of two rigs nationally, reaching a total of 547.

PHOENIX (AP) — The sheriff’s office for metro Phoenix spent millions of dollars budgeted for compliance costs in a racial profiling case over Joe Arpaio’s immigration crackdowns on things that had little or nothing to do with a court-ordered overhaul of the agency, according to an expert’s report.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The latest unemployment rate in Oklahoma was pegged at 3.1% for four consecutive months, May through August. In comparison, the national unemployment rate was 4.3% in August, as reported on Sept. 19.The annual percentage rate on a credit card is now 21.1%; it was 14.
