NORMAN – Citizens rallied Tuesday in the lobby of the Norman Municipal Court in support of City Council candidate Sean Boyd. But events quickly escalated during the meeting when council members unexpectedly began opposing his candidacy.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The former chief executive officer of Lucky Star Casinos in Oklahoma was sentenced Tuesday to a year and a day in federal prison for tax evasion. Brian Lee Foster, 51, of Norman, pleaded guilty in October 2019 to willfully failing to file federal tax returns for 2012 and 2013.

ANADARKO — Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Indian City for the speaker of the Kiowa Tribe’s legislature. Angela Chaddlesone McCarthy died of COVID-19 Thursday afternoon at Oklahoma City’s Deaconess Integris Hospital after more than a month in the facility’s intensive care unit.
